One simple sentence to ease the A.M. rush

You want to know if your child is moving forward in the morning—getting dressed and packing up for the day. With the clock ticking toward bus or carpool, it can be hard to sound encouraging. Often we end up emitting an endless nag-loop: “Are you dressed? Are you ready? Are you coming?” Guaranteed to make your child (and you) feel even more pressured and annoyed.

Try this instead: “Are you finding everything you need?”

It’s a simple way to check on your kid’s progress without driving them nuts. This short sentence also sends a great underlying message: ‘I’m here for you.’

Wouldn’t we all like to start our day with a little support?
